What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Overview

This policy explains what personal information Stackhaus Research collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, and any profile, company and address information you add.
  • Order details: items, shipping and billing addresses, order totals and payment status. We do not store card numbers.
  • Eligibility record: when you place an order we record your confirmation that you are 21 or older and buying for laboratory research, together with the time, the order it relates to and a truncated IP address (the last part of the address is removed). We keep this as proof of the attestation.
  • Age-gate cookie: a signed cookie that remembers you passed the site entry check.
  • Technical data: device, browser, pages viewed and referral source, collected through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, subject to your cookie choices.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form or email.

How we use it

To process and ship orders, send order emails, run your account, prevent fraud, meet legal and tax duties, keep proof of eligibility, answer questions, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

Who receives it

  • Clerk, our sign-in provider, to authenticate you. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with Clerk.
  • Payment, shipping and email delivery providers, to complete your order.
  • Route, our package protection provider, which receives your order and shipping details to cover your shipment.
  • Sentry (error monitoring) and Better Stack (logs), which receive technical and error data so we can find and fix faults.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, our analytics providers, subject to your cookie choices.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in, the age gate, the cart, checkout and security, and functional cookies that remember your region and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity analytics cookies to measure site performance. They produce aggregated usage data, and neither sets advertising cookies. Where the law requires consent we ask first. To opt out, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), block cookies in your browser settings, or contact us and we will help. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals, and other recognized opt-out signals where the law requires. We will update this page and your choices before we enable any advertising technology.

Retention

We keep order records and research-use attestation records, including the truncated IP address, for 7 years to meet accounting, tax and legal obligations. We keep account data until you ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update most account details in your account area. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your information, subject to records we must keep. Contact us to make a request. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in each message.

Security

We use access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The site is for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date.
